There are two types of dentures – complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. A Partial denture not only fills in the spaces created by missing teeth, but it also prevents other teeth from shifting.

Types of complete dentures:

1.Conventional Complete Dentures: These are made of acrylic and are custom made for each patient and conform to your mouth over time for a perfect fit.

2. Implant-supported Denture: These are like conventional dentures placed over Several dental implants, which are placed directly in the jawbone, are used to hold the dentures securely in place.

Types of Partial Dentures:

  1. Cast Partial Dentures:The most common type of removable partial denture consists of high-quality replacement teeth on a rigid cast metal frame. Less expensive cast metal partials

  2. Acrylic Partial Dentures: It has an acrylic base attached to the natural teeth by metal clasps which may be visible while smiling or talking. These are used as temporary dentures.
